  2. SYMPTOMS. Watch for any sore on the floor of the mouth, tongue, cheek, gum,
  3. palate or other site that fail to heal within 2 weeks. Also watch for any
  4. white patch on the tongue or inside the mouth that is normally pink.
  5. CAUSES are unknown at this time but smoking and excessive alcohol
  6. consumption is suspected. It occurs more often in older men.
  7. TREATMENT. Consult your doctor.
  8. .Early treatment is usually effective.
